Default shockleader advice - non fishing person!

I am trying to find some (a lot) shock leader that is clear in colour,
about 0.7/0.8mm thick but stiff and rigid for a non-fishing project -
any brands you can recommend?

Go to Walmart or other mass merchandizer and look at the heavy pound test,
Cheap! line. The cheap line seems to be much stiffer than premium line.
Most looks sorta blue on the spool. Look at the 60# or so test.
