Default Red Snapper limit

There are around 1900 signatures on the petition so far, the
eco-freaks have sent over 10,000 signatures to reduce red snapper
limits. We need more signatures than the eco-freaks or we will lose
our 4 fish per day red snapper limit. This catch reduction won't even
slow down the commercial fishermen.

If your name isn't on that petition, don't complain when you go out
into the gulf and can only catch 1 or 2 red snappers per day.

Not only does everyone need to sign it but you need to get as many
people as you can to sign it.

Below is the letter from Bobbi Walker and below that is another letter
from her when she was asked if the signatures would get used for what
they appear to be intended for.

Dear All,

In order to counter the thousands of signatures from environmental
groups requesting the NMFS to drop the red snapper TAC to 5.8 million
pounds we have created a petition site that supports the council's
decision to delay by 4 months any further action on red snapper and
supports the voluntary buyout of commercial quota that would be
transferred to the recreational sector upon purchase. PLEASE go to the
site below by clicking on it or visit Orange Beach Fishing
Association's web site www.gulffishing.net/home.htm and sign the
petition there. We encourage you to forward this email to as many
people as possible so that we can obtain thousands of signatures.
