Default Fenwick Rod & Company Info Wanted.

I have a Fenwick freshwater spinning rod that I bought approx 15 years ago.
The rod is an Eagle GLC model ES 60 L-2. Can anyone tell me about Fenwick
rods made in the early-to-mid 90's? What was the quality like? I read that
the quality of Fenwick rods went in the tank when the company was sold to
one of the big fishing and tackle companies but I do not know when that was
or if it's even true.

Thanks in advance for any helpful, useful replies.

CP
