Now This is Exciting...
Ronnie,
After I posted that I really started thinking about what I had just said. It makes complete sense that fish that are constantly caught and released in the same area will probably bite again in that area given time. Fish that size, and go through the stress of the local tournament angler relocation program ( :-) ) will probably be less prone to bite at the same frequency. So if I go through a spot and catch 20 or 30 12" fish and release them all as I unhook them instead of throwing them in the livewell and running them all over the lake I will probaby be able to do that regularly. Your point has definitely changed my view point, and will probably make me think things through a little more before I make a statement like I did :-) Thanks Ronnie! Chris "RGarri7470" wrote in message ... Man, that sux, If we had a 12" size limit here on The Winnebago system I would pull a limit every time out :-), as would everyone :-) Chris Lots of folks think that, but experience shows it just don't work that way. West Point Lake here was a 12 inch limit from the time it was built until 1983 - and we caught loads of 11 inch bass. Size was raised to 16 inches in 83 and we landed loads of 15 inch bass. Then the size was dropped three years ago to 14 inches. Guess what? We now catch loads of 13 inch fish. Ronnie http://fishing.about.com |
