Default Boat for use in Putnam County, NY reservoir

Hello,
I was just talking to a friend of mine who runs an outdoors program at my
residential school in Westchester, NY. He mentioned having a boat at Kensico
Reservoir. He also said that every year the county (maybe the state)
confiscates boats at the reservoir that have outdated permits and sells them
at auction. He said you can get a $900 boat for $200-$300.

Sorry I don't have specifics but check the newsgroup again and I'll try to
get specifics. (The email I use in newsgroups doesn't accept mail). Maybe
your local reservoir authorities can help also.

Best Always,
VinnyH

Does anyone know where I can purchase a used boat for use in one of the
Putnam County NY reservoirs?

Thanks!

Please post any info on this.
A new boat will cost at least $800 today.

He's out on a trip this weekend, I'll call him on Monday and see what
specifics I can get.
Best to all,
VinnyH
