I picked up another fishing book today. It is on collectible lures and the
companies that made them. The book store gives me a 75% discount on fishing
books. I now have about 150 books on fishing. I'll ofetn us e the books as a
reference tool to amass tips on fishing and incorporate the same in my
writings. These days are as cold as the Sam Hill and somewhat depressing but it
is good to have the books on the shelf if you know what i mean.

Yep. Those of us in the North Country who don't ice-fish (or seldom)
have to get our fix one way or another. Checking this newsgroup is one
way, reading fishing books is another. This cold wx is great for
thickening the ice, but it's a little brisk for me to spend all day on
the lake. I'll wait til it warms up to around 20 or 25=B0.

In these parts, we call that plagiarism. Some folks do their own research
on the water. Others just copy.

Sorta like every article on (pick one) bass fishing, elk hunting, trout
fishing, deer hunting, wingshooting, ad nauseum in Sports Afield, Field
& Stream, or Outdoor Life over the last 35+ years.

There's nothing new under the sun.

When you steal fom one it's called plagerism. When you "steal" from
many...it's called research and a compilation...legal g. I spend the
winter "painting" the fishing experiences, my second love

I don't think i was referring to the act of plagiarism. If you want to add
something new you might want do some research on the water. You should also
indicate that you are quoting only a portion of my original posting. It makes
your posting more creditable.
