Default Southern Vermont bullheads and eels?

Hi folks

I'm looking for a place in southern Vermont, as close to Bennington as
possible, which is good for fishing bullheads, and possibly eels.

I like the bullheads because they're tasty, and my son has had good luck
getting them in the past on other lakes.

I don't have a boat, I'll be doing only shorecasting.

Thanks!
-ben
