This one pulled hard
and ran fast. I stripped in line when I could but became worried that he
might pull too hard and snap the line. I wanted to reel in the line to
allow the drag on my reel to help lessen that potential, but in the attempt,
put a little slack in the line for a brief second. That was all he needed
and he was off the hook. Heartbreaking.

fishing in Ct, yet they are trying to get salmon back it appears to be working
but only time will tell......

The only way it could get much worse was if they were experiencing negative
numbers.

Actually, I guess they did, as the feds stocked thousands of smolts in the
Chicopee River at the hieght of the floods the other week, and many, if not
most died. (The smolts, not the feds.)
