I fancy you may be posting to the wrong group as the correct reply from this
perspective is: Go to Western North America or Eastern Russia.

There are a few sal****er rearing cages in Western Ireland were you might
encounter the odd 'steelhead' escapee. Apart from that I can't think of any
sea running fish in the British Isles.

The standard advice applies of course, first find your fish. Don't just
believe the bar-room hype, find the details, try to actually -see- the
fish. Find out when they are caught - being in the right place at the right
time makes 90% of the difference.
