Default Idiot youngsters on the beach

Went to Deal castle late yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours.

Windy or what!

All for 1 undersize pout but at least it was a fish

I must be totally mad but I was in company - 5 other rods as daft as me.

Walking back to the car was a prob. I could hardly stand up into the wind on
the top and as for walking in a straight line - impossible.

The lowlight was a lass of about 12yrs, in company with a lot of other kids,
but she was totally pi***ed. and all over the place, fell off a groin and
into the back wash if a large breaker. I thought I was going to have to use
my flotation suit for real.

Even the soaking and the cold didn't slow her down or shut her up.

Not all bad after-all.
One of the youngsters with her came up to me and appologised for her
behaviour - thats when I learned for sure she was p****d . She has found
some vodks apparently.
It is worrying though - I was thinking of telling her not to be such an
idiot but what would I get - a mouthfull or worse!

Should I have called the police to drag her away??

In retrospect it would have been better than dragging her away in a body
bag.

Whay should I have done and what would you have done.

Keith,

As a member of the local lifeboat crew I would have called the police for
her own protection.

Might just stop us having to recover a body from the sea.

Thanks.
My thoughts as well but only after the event.
Next time, and I hope there wont be one, I won't be slow.
I also sent the same message to the Mercury Newsgroup who run a Deal local
paper in the hope that they publish it as a warning to others.
No reply yet so I'm not holding my breath.

Have I got the name of the place wrong then? Plenty at the extreme eastern
end of the beach at the end of a cul-de-sac. Not so much a castle now - more
a landscaped area with what seems to be a lot of submerged rock.
It wouldn't have been to bright of me to send the police to the wrong place!
