Default shore fishing - Islay

I'm looking for advice, please. I'm visiting Isle of Islay next week
and come from down south where I enjoy a bit of shore spinning mostly
for bass, pollock and mackerel. I've read reports about Pollock being
caught now, but have Bass and Mackerel reached the Scottish Isles yet?

Mackerel should be about as they up here in the far north. Any beach will
give you a chance of bass.

Great, thanks for your reassurance - I'm looking forward to some
wilder and less populated coastline.
