Default Which rod should I get for fishing the SRQ/Tampa Bay area?

Ross,
Why don't you just get the guides replaced. I have had it done on more the
one occasion. There are many places around tampa tha build costom rods. Any
of them would be happy to do it for you. I would guess for alot less then a
new rod. If you are determined to buy a new rod i would send you to Dogfish
Tackle Shop at 17477 Gulf Boulevard Redington Shores, Florida 33778 (727)
392-6644. http://www.dogfishtacklecompany.com They would even be happy to
fix the rod you have.

HI guys,

I'm hoping one of the more knowlegeable individuals on this board can
give me a bit of advice. I've currently got a Penn 710z spinning reel
(which has lasted forever!) and a 7' Kunnan "Tournament Series"
graphite rod. Unfortuanetly my Kunnan rod has lost two of the ceramic
rings that are inside the eyelets. If I'm not mistaken I believe the
rod came with a lifetime warranty. From what I've read it seems like
Kunnan is out of business (warehouse fire??) so I guess I'm out of
luck as far as the warranty goes. Oh well. So now I'm looking for
suggestions on what rod to use to replacement? I'd like to find a rod
that best suites a person whom is going to do a little bit of surf
fishing on the gulfside beaches, peir fishing, stuff in the bay, etc.
I don't see myself taking this thing on a boat out in the gulf. I'd
like to keep the price somewhere around the $100 mark or less.

Thanks for any advice!!

Ross
