This newsgroup was the launchpad for the Secret Weapon Spinnerbait, and
many
of you were field testers and have been constant in your support and
encouragement over the years. We appreciate that. Can we ask you to help
us
out again? We'd like to tap into your opinion as savvy fishing tackle
consumers.

We're going to be making some additions and changes to the SWL lines, and
we're contemplating a possible logo change. If you're interested, take a
few
minutes to look at the two logos at
http://secretweaponlures.com/SecretWeapon-logo-opts.gif(you'll want to
maximize the GIF image so it appears correctly), and then reply the
questions below.

From all the responses submitted by Sunday 8 PM Central Time, I will pick
one person at random, announce his name here, and let him or her select a
lure of his choice from our Website. You can e-mail your input directly to
me or reply here.

Which logo (top or bottom) best suggests:
1. Action, Excitement....
2. Secret, Mystery....
3. Power, Strength....
4. High Performance....
5. Good value....
6. Stability, Dependability....
7. Fun, Enjoyment....
8. Any other impressions?
9. Which would attract your attention and create the most positive
response?
10. Which would you prefer to have embroidered on your shirt or cap?
11. Which would you prefer to have as a window or boat decal?
12. Any other observations?

I'm fairly new to this group and never heard of your spinner baits. Checked
out the site and like the idea of quick change blades.

Yeah, I've always been opposed to SPAM on non-commercial

I see SPAM on non-commercial Usenet newsgroups.

Count on it.

Well Joe, I like the bass from the top one, but the wording (with the red on
it) from the bottom one. So I'm not sure if that counts as a vote or not.

I like the bottom one better. I like the bass clearly in your sights and I
like the outlines around the letters. The bass on the top one I think looks
too cartoonie.

Joe, I would like the first one.

But, I would cut the Bass in half (no tail) take off the white and fill
in black on the back of the bass. Make the mouth a little bigger. With
the Bass cut in half; you could move it back in side the crosshare and
making the mouth bigger bitting the S would look good. Possibly make
the bass Green with a black back. I also would have the bottom of the
crosshare shown (keep it red color), and use the red/black outlined
letters.
For the Buzzbaits and spinnerbaits wording I'd change it to yellow
color.

Either way, I'd pick the first logo. It has more attraction, than the
second logo.

The larger aggressive bass on the top logo is more appealing. Consider
making the circle around the crosshairs in black.

Consider using a slightly more italicized font to impress the idea of
"secret", as is commonly seen in printed stories when words are
whispered.

I have to agree with Joe on this one. I really like the bass and lettering
on the top one, but the outlines on the bottom really make the text pop.

Dave V

P.S. took a lunker (4lb 1oz.) in todays tourney with a hand tied bucktail
spinnerbait with 1 gold, 1 nickle secret weapon willowleaf blades. Thanks.
9lb 7oz. bag for the win.
