I'm in Urbana, Illinois just down I57 from Josh in
Chicago and just west on I74 of Dwayne in Indy. I fish in
Wisconsin regularly, in fact I log more days astream in
Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Carolina than in Illinois.

One of the guys in the fly fishing group lives in Merrill.
If he sticks a thermometer in the Prairie River and it
reads 68F or less I'll probably drive up and fish for
trout during the day and socialize with rofb in the evening.
That's the current plan, anyway. The NWC is the last weekend
in August, right ? I'll be fishing somewhere that weekend
may as well be there.

Well, heck-fire...Ken is along the way. Maybe I could just pick
Ken n' his canoe up. I know I wouldn't mind the lawyer jokes as I
think I've always liked em' better than just about anybody...

And if he gets too outta line with his liberal or artsy-fartsy
discussions...I could just straighten him out with one of my
heavy-duty flipping sticks!

Rodney Shut up and fish
you said "what will I gain" well if your stuff is as good as you say it is
you will gain the respect from these guys that you so desperatly need, you
will also have a lifetime of fun rubbing it there faces.... but one has to
ask you here why wont you take Warren up on his offer i mean if you beat him
would that not be another feather in your cap?
and really it would go a long long way to your own credibility because as it
sits now i dont think anyone in this group would use your stuff even if it
were free i know i would not just because of the way you act

I offered to,, just right now he would have to come here, I can't take
off three days for one guy, or one little tournament, it's just not
feasible
and really it would go a long long way to your own credibility because as it

How I act ? Damn man, all i have ever done is defend FALSE claims and
charges, sure I have put down Warren,, that is because he acts like such
a pro, yet he gives out information that is WRONG, it actually hurts
fishermen, instead of helping them.

Like him stating you never want a bass to get a good look at your lure,
that fishing "slow" does not produce bass, 90% of the time, when many of
us know that nearly all the "BIG" bass are caught with very slow
presentations. He comes from the machine gunning, cover as much water
as you can, as fast as you can, fishing bunch. These guys drag their
lures past many bass before they find one to "react" to strike. They
can work 100 yards of bank in under 10 min. Where I would take close to
45, or longer, and catch every bass along that stretch of water.

If I find fish deep on the finder, I stay over them and fish until I
catch them, by offering different lures and different actions to those
lures, I don't just spend a couple of min. and move on. If fish are
there, they can be caught, and I don't give up on them.

As far as me fishing tournament, I don't,, It's just not a good use of
my time, We have a pro staff for that.

Right now the Pro Staff is using the Rock Hopper, Kicking butt, dragging
for bass with huge lures, they won't start using the Wiggle rig for
another two to three weeks.

(The Rock hopper substitutes for the lead head of a jig, it makes the
lures act crazy as it bounces over and around bottom obstructions, and
our pro's have fished weeks without hanging one up, but sometimes they
may loose "one" a day.)

Why don't you try to "Beat Charlie Moore". You'd get free press and
TV time. But then again if you loose...

H'mmmm, what if I can get a 9 year old to take him on ? we have one now
that has already kicked a lot of good fishermen's butts, he has been
using the wiggle rig about a month now. This kid is the step son of the
Mojo Lure company owner, yet until he fished the wiggle rig he really
could care less about fishing, he would go with his step dad on
occasion, but really had no fun bass fishing, and that was all his dad did.

I understand that last weekend (Fri - Mon.) he out caught everyone, for
four straight days, on a California state park lake, everyone was
getting skunked, and this kid was averaging 30 fish a day.

A 9 Year old fishing against Charlie, using the old ways to fish, and
this kid, with the new way, would make an awesome show, Much better than
"me" catching fish on my new rigs. Just because I can, does not show
anyone who trys hard enough can, even a little kid.
