Saturday morning I started off duck hunting in Dorchester Co. by 7:45
I was done, 4 mallards 1 black duck. Could have killed a bushel basket
full of pintails but thier not legal right now (the dog was going
nuts).

I went to the boat and was fishing by 9:30. Started at Hooper Island
light, nothing. Went over towards the Targets, nothing up to Cedar
Point Hollow, noithing. By now the tide had changed to ebb and I
decided to go over to the mouth of Punch Island creek, caught a half
dozen dinks on rattletraps and bucktails then I looked behind me, out
into the bay, and birds were going NUTS. Played with breakers for over
an hour, caught about 15 put two in the box.

By now it's 2:30. Put the boat back in the slip, went back to the farm
got my bow and climed a tree. Saw two Sika does. Both stayed about 40
yards out, so I didn't draw. The day ended with a limit of ducks, a
limit of rock and no deer. Sure would have been sweet if one of those
Sika had come in a bit closer.
