Default Guest Fly Tyer

More known as a fly tyer than a fly fisherman, A.K. "Archie" Best is
also one hell great guy. Sat down to dinner with him this evening.
He's to be our guest speaker all day tomorrow at our club's "Spring
Fling." Just got to say, that if his presentation tomorrow is as good
as his wit and humor this eve, gonna be a great day.
He grew up in Iowa and traveled through out the Midwest as a sax
player during the post war era. He also plays the flute and a few
other instruments. Got drafted and spent his time in Japan in the
Army Band.
Oh, by the way, he's tied a couple of flies too.
If you have a club and are looking for a VERY spry 78-year-old to
speak, get A.K. to come to your place. You won't be disappointed.
