Neat pic Steve,

Is that recent? We haven't only gotten a couple inches that melted, however
we are suppose to get 18 - 24 inches over the weekend. It started about 1:00
PM today.

That was a few years ago. My Golden, Arlo, passed away a year ago last
May. He loved the snow, as all dogs seem to, but him more than most. I
have many photos of him romping in it.

No significant snow in Stanley yet. I'm getting worried -- counting on
XC skiing in January.

Yes.

I went to Lake Redfish back about 1981 and caught a single rainbow. It was a
trip arranged through the base in Mountain Home. I'd much rather be there
than here but I doubt I could take a winter there. Whatever was in my blood
that kept it from freezing up came out in Panama.

Redfish Lake is beautiful, but it's not a good fishing lake except for
large bull trout in the spring. It used to be a major spawning ground
for sockeye salmon until the dams on the Lower Snake destroyed the run.
