New to the group, and only bass fishing for a year. I am working hard at it,
and from time to time, I really need some help, and hope to offer any
suggestions myself.

Welcome Swampstocker - feel free to ask questions - you may get some
good answers.

Dan - I bet you are "toasty" in Florida about now. If you like your
toast wet and soggy from sweat and humidity, anyway.

Dang, After I posted this it became clear that I didnt say much about
myself, and where I like to fish, etc...
I live in SW Alabama and fish primarily the Alabama River. From Claiborne to
and including the Dannelly reservoir (Miller's Ferry), and on up to Selma. I
joined a club about 8 months ago, and have enjoyed it tremendously. I am
finally getting to catching a limit at the tourneys, and am still not
getting the bigger fish. I guess I need to have more patience with myself,
and keep on throwin'. So,....I guess it may be fair to ask the first
question,....What may be some good tips on keeping up your confidence?

Always remember the bigger fish is just a cast away. Go to
www.rofb.org or net, can't remember cause I'm old. ;} There is a
lot of good info there. Also google group search of rofb can find you
lots of on topic posts about the way you fish, types of lures, methods
and such. I'm here in the Tampa area waiting for the weather to get
better.

Ronnie's site and Steve's site are both good places to learn.

Default Hello All

After my best year ever in both clubs last year this one has been a
let-down. I am in second for the year in one and fourth in the other.
I will make the Top Six in both tho, I am pretty sure.

BTW - Linda and I leave for Rhinelander next Monday - we are going to
have our own NWC even if we are all by ourselves. Can't let September
get by without a trip north!

I have been club fishing since 1974 - they are a lot of fun. Just keep
after it and the bigger fish will come.

Ever read Alabama Outdoor News?

Well, swing on by me on your way up or back. It'd be good to see you and
while I've known you for a long time, I've never met your wife!

You going to stop at the Pub for liver & onions?

Have fun and give Gil a call when you get up there,
