Default Pelagics?

Tim,

Thanks. That clouser's in my arsenal, will have some bomber type flies as well.

Burleying up, eh? yes, we would call it
chumming, and I've thought about it off certain jetties, though it's not a
common practice up here from shore.

Thanks again,
Rob

Chumming is very common in the US when fishing for catfish.

I know that for certain fishing (fresh and salt) it's common, but I meant that
it's not common when fishing from jetties along the new jersey shoreline... not
that it wouldn't be effective at times, just not done very often to my
knowledge.

If there were some type of current along the shore to take the scent of the
chum to draw in the targeted species, I can't see why it won't work.

But then when your prey does arrive, try enticing it with a fly with all
that chum in the water.
