Finally.....
wrote in message ... anyone who claims they don't think they are paying a fair amount for the Simms name on them, or that they "need" Simms waders, is either foolish or lying. well, enough of this, and back to the original point of the thread. First, congrats, Jo, on the retirement. And Dave, you don't have to force the poor woman into a life of picking you up after your(self described) regular streamside falls. Maybe the two of you can take up a safer hobby...... Anyhow, get her the waders, whatever brand you choose. They will no doubt be a quality item, and waders will be necessary for your beloved spouse, now that she will be around the house more to hear your political rantsg. Fishing be damned...... enjoy! Looking forward to her retirement. We are more than a married couple; we are dear friends. I have taken up golf (again after 50 years), but I doubt she would or could do that. Fishing, grandkids, travel, and gardening are the priorities, but not necessarily in that order. |

HTH, R d;o) Actually from Dick's Sporting Goods..... on sale too. And why do you think everything I do or buy is "trendy?" Is there a "trend" for old men to take up golf? Sure didn't realize that. What would be a good golf car (car not cart)? Five series wagon? MB E wagon? Porsche Panamera? Ford F250? Nonononono, I've got it...... perfect.... A G55 AMG. Performance, trendy, practical, beautiful, expensive. What more could a man want or need. And for less than $125K. I'll be able to *drive* *all the way* to Lakewood. WOW! Thank you Dickie. Reminders: 1) Turn off the phone when I go to bed tonight - no more mid-night phone calls from Richard. 2) Contact MB dealer Monday before golf lesson. 3) Join http://www.charteroakcc.com/Club/Scripts/Home/home.asp which is less than a mile down the road. 4) Take up tennis. 5) Stop having so much fun with Rich. The wild roses are the worst.) Hmmmm. I thought I bought them when they were new to the market place five years ago. Anyway, I am amazed at the wear and tear they can endure without leaking. Any other set I have owned would have split at the seams or seperated at the bootie by now. I fall *every time* I go fishing. Some are bad (my shins and knees show the results). All involve rocks or dead falls, and sliding on my ass off of rocks has become a regular occurance. I don't know how Simms does it, but their product endures everything I throw at it. It may have been two pair in five years. I didn't take notes. And I'm not dissing Simms waders in general or G3s in particular. They're good waders. That's why I have the G4s now. -- Cut "to the chase" for my email address. |
