Default is anybody out there?

Not many it would seem. I very occasionaly stop by here to see if anything
is happening.

Are there any sea anglers who still visit this site, if so what do you fish
for and where?

I am on the west coast of Scotland and fish bith shore and boat for whatever
is about - when I have the time. Would love to catch a bass but don't see
many around here.

Well I've just popped in to have a look and was surprised at the lack of
posts. I guess anglers are non technical by nature and don't realise
usenet exists.

South Wales Heritage coast mainly. More winter fishing for COD than
summer Bass. There have been plenty of Smooth hound about last month..

We catch all sorts, thornbacks to about 14lb and spur dogs to the
same -although they do go bigger I'm told. Loads of mackerel in the summer
with pollack to 12lb on the reefs and wrecks, loads of coalies (cuddies)
smaller pollack ballan and cuckoo wrasse. Flatties are about too but don't
really catch many though there have been a few flounders and plaice. I am
told that there are a few cod here in winter but don't have a big enough
boat (yet) to get out to where they are, loads of ling in the right places
too you can even catch them from the shore. There are the huge common
(granny) skate in the sound of Mull and the sea lochs too if you have the
patience to target them. There have been reports of Bass from the south end
of Mull but I haven't seen any. We also have good runs of salmon and sea
trout in the river estuaries.

Regards
