Here is a pic of my reel with build-up from Stren SuperBraid after 15
casts & before a blast of RealMagic

No, it's not a true "Bird's Nest," it's just laying on the spool entirely
too loose. If the rod/reel were cast using a practice plug in the driveway
without keeping any tension on the line as it was reeled in, that will
happen all the time. When the line lays on the spool like that, it's quite
common for one layer of line to get underneath the other and have a
reduction in casting distance.
