Instant Garage
Got a lovely new boat and it won't fit in the garage. So, I thought at
an instant garage kit. Has anyone tried to put one of these together. It looks like it could be trouble. Are boat covers the best way to go? Thanks a million. |

Boat covers are nice, but all too often, you fail to put them on because they're just a pain in the butt many times, and when you come home from fishing, you're just too tired to fool with it. The plasticized canvas and metal tube frame tent-type models that you can either pull through, or back the boat into are pretty good and I used to have one. Definitely better than screwing with a cover. But, they are susceptible to heavy wind and they don't like snow at all. After I had mine flattened by a tree limb, I went one step further and got one of those all metal models. I think I got mine at Menard's for like $800. Mine is 12 x 25 feet and withstands wind, rain and even heavy snow loads. My son and I put mine up in one day using hand tools and two drills with nut driver bits. -- Steve @ OutdoorFrontiers http://www.outdoorfrontiers.com G & S Guide Service and Custom Rods http://www.herefishyfishy.com |
