Default Lighting a tilley lamp

How do i manage to light a tilley lamp easily on the beach? Those long
matches used for lighting cookers seem to blow out rather easily!
Help!

Get one of the long butane lighters for lighting Barbeque grills. I use one
for lighting my propane lantern, my gas water heater, and other pilot
lights.

They usually cost about $4.00 US.

One goes "Whack, Darn" and the other goes "Darn, Whack".
