Damn, the antenna on your tinfoil hood is *smokin'* this morning !

I hope you remembered to put an oven mitt on top of your head before
you put your hood on this morning. Antenna gets that worked up you
could burn a hole on your pate.

I could be wrapped in layers of tin foil separated by oven mitts, but that still
leaves a few questions, based upon your own cite above and recent claims:

**** *STILL* too stupid to merit a response snipped

You'd think that with the antenna shaking like a dog passing a peach
pit there'd be something better than silliness going on there at the
Uh oh, tee-hee, tsk, tsk, tsk desk this morning. Is that all you got
today Rick Bean Deancounter ?

So, anyway, tin foil, oven mitts, dogs passing peach pits, tee-hee desk, etc.,
etc., etc., right, gotcha...so that just leaves those few still-unanswered
questions:

1. If Obama is such a smart, savvy guy, why didn't he know what this guy on the
huffingtonpost "knows"...?

2. If he didn't know, why not?

3. If he did know, why did he order his military to kill these poor starving
freedom-fighting members of the Somali Coast Guard Auxiliary?

4. Whatever he knew, why in the hell is the President of the United States
issuing press briefs bragging about how he personally gave the go ahead for the
take-down...?

I did have have hopes that the Navy opened up with one of those mini-guns
where their tracers look like a torch light, but my greatest kick was
hearing the news media trying to dramatize this event by saying it was long
range sniper fire at 35 meters!

****, those boys can put a knife in your eye at that distance...hell, my
greatest fear is getting belligerant drunk and ****in' off a seal.

But back to the dirt floor poor, I wonder how many people here have ever
seen dirt floor poor....seen the people sorting through the garbage from a
US base just to get food....or seen a village downstream from where Vectren
was spraying Agent Orange to eradicate a cocoa crop. I have.

Hey, Africa is a **** hole and it's going to be a **** hole for years to
come....it takes an iron fisted tyrant like Sadam to create any sense of
stability....

No food, no water, no fish...Sorry boys, but if it was me and mine or
yours.....I'd steal from you to feed mine.

....and those 'pirates' well, google it up and tell me if they ever robbed
and raped tourists....molested the crew and stole the crew's
possesioins....or was it only holding the tanker so that the 'nameless' big
corporations would pay and not the family of the little man....

Ken, damned good link but I think maybe a little too much for some of the
little people here....you have to educate them little by little...

I don't stand, I beg to be corrected...

I don't want to sound like I approve of lawlessness or piracy
on the high seas. I posted the link so that before folks started
waving their flags, thumping their chests and working themselves
into a red, white and blue bloodlust they had a chance to look
at another side of the story.

Somalia is a failed state, a lawless rogue state, and that's the
crux of the problem. The problem isn't going to be solved by
lobbing in a few cruise missiles or even killing every Somali
"pirate" in the shipping lanes.

Agreed. No purpose achieved.

Yes it will. Neatly solve the problem.

I sympathize if your wife is dying of gung ho of the bung ho and your
kids are starving and their skin is flaking off.
But point a gun at me and you will die without negotiation.

My oh my, a real tough guy. The substance is big and bad and macho
but you really gotta work on your style. I mean, you get zero style
points for that lame post.

You should study the classics. Here, practice this in front of a
mirror and don't forget to squint:

But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the
world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself
one question: Do I feel lucky? ... Well, do ya, punk?

Which has yet to be corroborated.

Hitler's Germany was a "failed state". I'd love to hear your take on this
one.

The problem isn't going to be solved by
lobbing in a few cruise missiles or even killing every Somali

Yep. "The Man" is putting down the suppressed, so they have every right to
sell crack.

Hilarious.

You keep repeating this Keenardo like it is true. In DC terms Obama
has said very little about his role. That is the inside media take, so
naturally you put up a lighter than air show stating the opposite.
Thats lower division poly sci propaganda class ****. You shoulda hung
around for the grad seminar and you would be a real asset to Whackjob
Incorporated.

Rick if you are going to do a limp imitation of Shawn Hannity, you
need to read up on the masterminds of big lie propaganda, maybe
Goebbels, one of the less strident North Koreans, or one of the
traitorous NeoCon Trotskyite professors. Or maybe see if Rush's dealer
is still selling those hygrade "pain killers." This **** is so
pathetically "I hate this man almost as much as I hated the Kennedy's"
even juxtaposed against the nauseous "cute little pirate,"
"misunderstood freedom fighter," "lets cuddle" stuff.

Or maybe you think Obama should fly out to the USS Bainbridge or
declare victory from the deck of a aircraft carrier hovering off the
California coast?

I could write your confusion off to "cabin fever" but you live in the
South .

Dave
They were killed because they were pirates threatening to kill a
kidnapped American citizen. No big deal. No big victory for Obama. Get
used to it: Its just what a competent government does to protect its
citizens from real threats.

Arm every merchant vessel with a 50 cal. machine gun along with a
qualified gunner. *When the pirates come into the effective range of
that .50 (about 2000 yards), a short burst should easily dissuade
anyone from being a threat. *You could also have another gunner with a
50 cal M107 (probably what the Seals used in rescuing our captain).
If they insist, the gunner could cut the small craft in half with such
a weapon and the M107 gunner could pick and choose the threats. *Works
for me. *Leave the ships alone and the pirates can live as long as
they want. *Really simple when you think about it.

And, there are plenty of mercenaries world-wide that would/could do
the job. *

Perhaps since your stock portfolio is down and you're an old sea dog warrior
with some SuperWaders, maybe you could pick up some coin to help you through
your dotage...

Here's an old seal trick - if you run out of bull-yets...throw your ball at

I guess I think light.

I'd agree with that...

The right 3 guys firing 22 hornets would seem
enough,

Yeah, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman...hey, no need to be sexist in this
comic-book idea of yours...

except maybe for the man firing thru the bow porthole.

Oh, there's a fourth guy firing forward...that'll make all the difference in the
world, then...

...and on the downside, your plan consists of having four guys with varmint
rifles trying to defend over an acre of floating, unarmored target in the middle
of the ocean against a potential swarm of small boats of unknown armoring crewed
by unknowns with unknown weapons...

...yeah, there's no chance such a bit of military genius might result in a major
mess, complete with civilian crews being dragged around offshore right off of
Mogadishu like ****ing teasers and made into chum...

Geez, how is it you never made Lord High Admiral, there, Sarge...?

I do not know what the Seal shooters used. I was giving my amature and
dated opinion on an appropriate sniper round, given the info on the
distance (close) and conditions. I am aware that the .223 center fire
is a better wounding round and has wind issues at longer distances,
etc.. But considering all the curved hard surfaces on that lifeboat I
thought the .223 more likely to bounce around within the skull and be
less likely to exit and find the captain Obviously there are lots of
competent folk who feel that the .223 is not appropriate as a general
take out sniper round. But it is very widely used around the world,
for both military and police. The VC and the NVA used it .

That would be an exactly spot-on, hit-the-nail-on-the-head analysis
except Rick is too young to have ever hated the Kennedys with the
same pathetic, over-the-top, transparently rabid and thoughtless
hatred he displays toward Obama.

When he is able to twist a very minor asymmetrical military plus of
Obama's into fodder for his Uh-oh, tee-hee desk you know the guy is
nothing but a rabid, little bull****-puppy yapping at the ankles of
the President.

Moreover, if their demands were for food and medicine, or the
wanted international media coverage to shine a light on the alleged
problem,
that too would tend to lend credence to the whole "po' folks trying to
survive"
thing.

Damned good point.....I've often thought that some of those we call
terrorists are not properly using the public relations media....
