Received my annual "Blue Ribbon Flies" catalog today and wanted to suggest
to you folks on ROLF who are interested in flyfishing might enjoy the first
couple of pages. "CRAIG MATHEWS - 2006 - Flyfishing Year-End Review" (Get
him to mail you a copy on www.blueribbonflies.com )

Realize that he mainly pushing this year's HOT new flies--the trout must not
like last year's models, but found his references to streams, lakes, and
ponds I fished on last three Western claves provided visions of Spring
fishing action.

Know Big Dale recommends this shop for fly tying supplies and I was
pleasantly surprised while buying only a Park license to see Jane and Ted
Turner loaded down with fishing paraphernalia, standing in the line behind
me waiting to say hi to Craig as Craig and I discussed Indian artifacts
found around Quake Lake area.

Sorry to say the recommended flies are mostly midges and small nymphs as I
am now limited to size 16 and above, but the article is a good read. Just
reminded of the day when the Gallatin was as usual unproductive, so Miller
and I drove WAY up Taylor Creek, set between mountain ridges. As I rigged,
Jeff walked over to the stream and cast--"good fish" as the bassers say.

One's life has only so many good hours!!

again...

Taylor Creek is a pleasant place to spend a few hours

That rock on the cover of the BRF catalog is so hard to believe I called and
asked ... it's on the Gibbon River.

Somehow I missed your website before this. Nice site Larry.
I like the fishing log.

I'd make one too, but it would remind me how little time I've had
to actually fish--last two years anyway.

Somebody has to make a myspace (could be modeled on your site)
for coger fly fishermen--someday.
