Has the global warming gotten so severe that alligators have moved into
trout streams?

I coould only dream of having such a year!

Year? Thats a decade. Do like the gator. Were you casting the Asadi
Finger Fly to that guy?

Way cool. Good to see you pop in to this nut house.

I like the bird shots at the end. The one with the fish in his beak --
a cormorant? or lesser heron? In the tropics I guess. And the last
bird -- IIRC a green heron? I saw one of those along boulder creek,
and one down here in a drainage canal many years ago.

And that fish alongside the green kayak -- a gar?

You've had too many adventures this year already -- save some for the
rest of us ;-)

This might be a year to do another San Juan clave -- I landed a big
ZERO on all my hunt draws, so I should have some free time for
fishing...

Jon.

Think it will be a short pop. The "Disaster" thread is pretty typical of
what ROFF's had to offer recently.

Most of the bird shots, the kayak shots and the Croc shot were quality
pix because they were taken by a quality photographer - Charlie Choc in
Everglades National Park. Danl, Bruiser and Mark G. also contributed
some shots.

Yes, a gar. The gar and a few Largemouths were the only native fish I
caught in the Everglades. I caught lots of fish but they were Tilapia,
Peacock Bass and a variety of South American Cichlids that I last saw in
an aquarium when I used to breed tropical fishes. Introduced species of
flora and fauna is a MAJOR problem in the Everglades. The worst I've see
anywhere. The most "exotic" are probably the Pythons that have
established breeding populations.

It was a lesson that I learned from my Dad's early death. Don't put off
the things you want to do until you reach 65 and are retired.

Too bad on the draw. Let me know about a Winter trip.
