Default Fly Fishing Questions

I have recently decided to get into fly fishing but have some
questions, can anyone help?

1. Does the backing go on the reel first? And if so how much do
you put on?

2. How long of pole should I use for rainbow trout fishing?

3. How long is the Tapered leader supposed to be? And how long
is the tippet?

4. If the fly breaks off do I have to re-tie the whole leader or
will it usually break in certain spots?

5. can i use the same leader/tippet on different sizes of flies??

Thanks so much

I suggest that you stop by a shop that specializes in flyfishing and ask for
advice. You can also check out the rack at a bigger book store or the public
library for books on flyfishing. I make these suggestions based on the fact
that your questions, though basic, and I'm certain, sincere, show not only
lack of knowledge, but a misunderstanding of those basics. Do yourself a
favor and seek guidance from an experienced individual before spending money
on equipment.
