gibbon in yellowstone ... elk herd in background while we fished.
caught few. danl hooked and lost a large fish on one of his personally
designed streamers. saw a few big fish, but the gibbon is tough going in
the heat of july. because of warm water concerns, there was a voluntary
no-fishing policy in effect in the park on most streams between noon and
6 pm. water temps were around 65-68 when we were there.

1. water snake eating sculpin. the fish was still alive at the time of
photo.

2. nest on one of the dead tree stumps at quake lake.
