Default Advice for the new guy!!

Hi all,

I'm very new to angling... I was looking for advice on fishing canals,
equipment to buy (or not to buy)

I'm living in Milton Keynes, very close to the Grand Union Canal.... Has
anyone fished it? What will I need to get me started?

Thanks,

Andy
