Default Back to Ohio

Well a weeks worth of fishing back in pa has come and gone with our
best day holding 25 bass up to 4 + lbs. In 5 days we had roughly 90
bass the biggest in the 5+ range a few 4 lb'ers including a nice
smallmouth from promised land state park where I camped on the
shoreline of the lake.

morning had me waking up to eagles flying overhead and smallmouths
taking stickbaits as i cast from the shore while heating up some
coffee on the fire

A trip down to my old lakes in Long Pond had me and Jeremy teamed up
for a sheep tournament against Dave and Mike, Jeremy and me emerged
victorious with a 5 fish limit going almost 10 lbs, nothing great but
my big fish in the tourney went 4.02 on Dave's scale, Jeremy also lost
one on a chatterbait that was easily 5-6 lbs, but made up for it on
the other lake with a fish in the 5+ range.

Some of you already know what a sheep bet is and for those that don't
I'll explain when i get back into Ohio.. Nothing good can come from a
sheep bet, except some hilarious photo opts. I'll post some pictures
when i return home

Sounds like a good trip - can't wait to get up north away from this
dog days weather in Georgia.

I just posted a short "Guide Review" of your baits on my site. It is
my first blog today and will be the lead in my newsletter that goes
out next Wednesday.

I stole a picture of the Tournament Sticks to use with the review but
gave you credit for it - if that is a problem, let me know.

Are you sure you want to know ? When Randy posts about
weird fishing bets you never know when the boundaries
of good taste are going to be stretched to the max and
beyond. ;-)

Welll Uhmm it's a different kind of Tournament. There is a vacation home on
the lake in NE Pa where we fish. The person who owns the home has these fake
life sized sheep on the lawn on the lake. The losing team had to strip naked
and pose with the sheep. One of the guys backed out and split, but dave
being ther trooper he is heade out on the lake to the sheep house, when we
got over there,, there was a whole family kayaking and fishing right in
front of the place, He still paid the bet,,quite funny stuff
