You're welcome...always fun to share photos with fellow-travelers.
Having looked at Choc's work though, I recognize my inept efforts and that I lack a true artists eye. I'll need to be content to remain a simple taker of photos. BTW...how is your son's transition to dixieland progressing? jeff daytripper wrote: On Sat, 21 Jul 2007 15:04:33 -0400, jeff wrote: [...] That there's a whole lot of nice pictures, jeff. BTW...how is your son's transition to dixieland progressing? jeff Ah - *there* is a story. So #1 Son's spousal unit had dragged him down to NC State in Raleigh this winter so she could do her phd (food sciences), leaving Son and his phd (bio-chem) to figure out where to find a job down there. After about two months, she decided she no longer wanted to be a student after all, started looking for a job, and got hooked up with Kraft Foods in northern New Jersey, starting in May(!) I had threatened to come visit you while I was down there in Raleigh around Easter, but you folks had some dreadful weather for almost all of the time I was down there, and instead I ended up loading Yet Another U-Haul and moving the kids back north (noting that the same trailer going from Cornell to Raleigh cost five times as much as dragging it from Raleigh to Summit, NJ!) So...Son is now in bio-chemistry Mecca, spouse is getting a fat check every week, they're now only three hours away from us - and a half-hour from Manhattan (very cool!) - and in a plush part of Jersey (if one could imagine such a place)... /daytripper (kids got drama ;-) |

My brother's PhD is in biochem too and he lives in the same area - I have trouble keeping up with his company's name changes, though, from all the mergers. Like you say, if you have to be in Jersey... -- Charlie... http://www.chocphoto.com |
