Default National Geographics new issue.

There is an article abut the evolution of feathers in this issue. Quite interesting reading for those of us non-birdmen.

I ain't looked much in recent years.....but occasional brief perusals
suggest that there ain't a whole lot of topless native girls in NatGeo
these days.

Dredging the memory banks suggests that the vast majority of topless
native girls offered in past issues would have been well served by a
liberal covering of feathers.

Doubtless, there is an adaptive convergent evolution of some sort or
another at work here.

Or, should be, anyway.

Having never experienced it oneself, one can nevertheless appreciate
the horror of suddenly discovering that one has spent a lifetime
trotting about the globe and committing sundry acts of heroism.....at
the behest of shopkeepers.
