I just wish that Oboy would stop traveling and making speeches. He should be in DC figuring out what to do about the economy. Every time he opens his mouth the Dow drops a hundred points. It is now below the 1997 high. Wonderful leadership. Wonderful changes. And his Sec of Treas? What a laugh. No one is willing to sign on with him. A couple of more appointments said "Thanks, but not thanks." Obama is running a ship of fools. And, we are all waiting with bated breaths wondering what *you* are going to do with the $1.89/day he's gonna give you. Shiiiiit. The Dow was up over a hundred points this a.m. Oboy makes a speech and it's now at -30. Shut the **** up, Oboy. |

I've always given you credit for understanding the difference between correlation and causation. Please don't start parroting the rantings of our resident nutjob and shake my confidence. The causation of this financial debacle will be studied for years to come; but I'm sure no one with any sense will suggest it began or could have been significantly attenuated in the last six weeks or exacerbated with a mere speech. And maybe I'm just overly sensitive, but I think using the term "boy" to refer to a black man unworthy of a man of your character, even when presented as a humorous morphing of his actual name. I'll allow as though you don't mean it that way, but it has the same effect IMO and FWIW. yfitols, Joe F. |

I'll allow as though you don't mean it that way, but it has the same effect IMO and FWIW. yfitols, Joe F. Joe, ever since OMan has been in office, all he has done is complain about inheriting this "crisis". He was *PART* of the crisis when he was in the Senate. He, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, et al were responsible for the sub-prime lending-to-folks-who-couldn't-afford it fiasco. He has done NOTHING except spend money. Every time he opens his mouth, the market takes a dive. Why would anyone want to invest in the banking system of this country if it is going to be nationalized. He says he is for change, but all I see is the same old DC bull**** with a different driver on the bus to hell. His cabinet is laughable, and everyone he taps for a job either has tax problems or is unwilling to be scrutinized. He campaingned on getting rid of pork and yet he is willing to sign the up-coming Omnibus Bill saying it is "last year's business." That may be true, but the Dems knew that Bush would veto it and they could not over-ride that veto. Now they are pushing it and OMan sez it's ok. It may be last year's business, but it's this year's money. He should solve one problem at a time. Right now the economy is or should be the #1 problem. He's out there talking, while bubblehead biden is dancing with the unions. Get some work done and stop campaigning. That is all I am asking. Get some work done and start with the banking/wall st. fiasco. Remember, just about everyone is involved somehow with the market. If not in straight investments, then in your retirement funds. It all goes through Wall St., and right now he is doing nothing about it. He seems to think the market crash is funny. One term president if he continues as is. And no, Oboy was not meant as a racial slam. You know me better than that. Dave |

Yes I do (sorry if that wasn't clear in my last post.) I can see the appeal of the brevity and its play on the phrase "Oh boy!" as a swipe at the hype more than the man; I just didn't want that one to get legs without acknowledging its less savory connotation.
