Default So ready for spring

It's been cold and miserable here in Southern IL. We had and ice storm move
through Monday and Tuesday and were without power from Monday night till
last evening. Our daughter and her 2 kids have been staying with us which
makes it even more fun. I've been reorganizing the tackle boxes, redoing my
fishing want/need list. Re reading the last 6 months fishing mags and even
flippin in the front room. I am so ready for some warmer weather. Hopefully
this year I'll be able to get a boat, with arthur working on my knee and hip
makes bank fishing a little tough but either way I just want to go fishing.

For once, I'm not done with last year yet. Haven't been bass (LM/SM)
fishing much, but have been slamming stripers from little schoolies up
to about 20 pounds since Thanksgiving. Haven't missed a weekend yet.
Worst day, two of us caught over 40. Best day I had over 200.

Still, I can't wait for the lakes to open up, so I can get back to the
green and brown bass instead of these silvery striped ones.

I have to wait until the season opens at the end of June. I fish for
other game fish until then. Last summer I discovered two softbaits
that are super to use for bass.
I have stocked up but will be getting more at the upcoming show. I
know there will be sucess for me come bass season. Wishing everybody
the best.

I'm with ya Mike. We're in southern burbs of Chicago and just got dumped on
again last night. Maybe 8" here this a.m. Son shoveling drive now. Seems
like it's been going on forever doesn't it?
