Default Okuma Titus Gold 2005 Line?

Hey All: I'm interested in getting an Okuma Titis Gold model TG-15L
reel. I just discovered that the new 2005 Titus Gold reels have a 5
year warranty, which is great. My question is, how do I know I'm
getting a 2004 or 2005 model when I buy it from the internet? Does the
newer 2005 models look different in anyway? Does anybody have a new
2005 Titus Gold reel? Any insight would be appreciated!

Sorry....I have sworn off Penn's for life. Over-priced! Yeah....If
you're going to keep a reel for life & want it in the shop 5 or 6
times, then maybe. I have "****ed-thru" countless Penn SS spinning
reels in my day! Had them all repaired & quickly sold on ebay. I just
sold my last Penn (Squidder) a few months ago & I have washed my hands
of them.

Penn has been asleep @ the switch for too many years now. Shimano,
Okuma etc. have been raising the bar for the past 5-10 years. Let's
face it.....the far-east has done a better job. If I want to buy
American, I'll but a rod. We still seem to make decent fishing rods.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Perhaps have a look at AVET first...

www.avetreels.com - their website isn't that great, but the reels definitely
are!
