Lot of pics -- may load slow if you haven't a fast connect.
I was not involved in trip -- just thought the report would
be of interest to sal****er fishers.

WTH!

Why are coming down to Florida and killing all our fish and then bragging
about it!... Goliath Grouper (Jewfish) are endangered you jack ass. It's
illegal to even take them out of the water much less land them. There so
easy to catch you can't call it sport. They usually don't survive a catch
and release. Yuo saw the amount of sharks isn the area first hand, you know
they tore that poor ******* up!

Same with our sharks! We need them to thin out the tourists! JK on that
one.

But seriously, the goliath grouper thing was soooooooooo NOT cool! Please
do NOT come back to Florida.

I noticed you went to Boca Grande (the tarpon capitol of the world) and
didn't catch a tarpon.
They didn't show up this year. Some say it's because of overfishing. Some
say it's from the red tide. Personally I think it's both.

Hey 'Texx'..

Normally I wouldn't respond to such ignorance but since we released every
shark, also including the Goliath Grouper, I felt I had to stand our/my
ground. It helps if some ignorant people such as yourself would take the
time to read an article pertaining to the pictures. On a side note, I also
scientifically taggged and released all the sharks for NOAA/NMFS. I have
handled and released hundreds of sharks from Lemons to Tigers to Makos. As
for the Grouper, not only did the Goliath swim away, but it was very
energetic when headed straight back to the channel without the least bit of
hesitance. Normally I walk my fish out but this particular specimen decided
to take off immediately and had the energy and power to do it. There are
even tagging research studies going on with Goliaths as we speak.. but wait
"they usually don't survive a catch and release". Your claims should not be
validated especially regarding the mortality rate of our catches considering
many of the tagged specimens are healthily recaptured months, even years
later and the information obtained is invaluable scientifically.

The Jewfish are illegal to keep, but you better check up on your FL laws
also about landing a Goliath.

And what are you talking about "the tarpon did not show up at Boca Grande
this year"? While we were there, boats were getting 3-4 a day and reports of
upwards of 11 a day. Due to your absolute ignorance and disrespect to other
anglers coming to your waters, I ask that you please re-evaluate your future
comments particularly ones you have very little knowledge about and have to
make up info to relevate your false backing.

Kind regards,
-Oz
