Very slow news group, and you'd think it would be smoking.

it could be worse i suppose, i can remember when it was a good group with
the exception of a few back then that drove people out and i'm pretty sure
rodney can vouch for that one.. besides that it looks like the group could
use some excitement

Vouch for what ?

Guys I went cat fishing once this last season,, and just caught one cat

Biggest channel I have ever caught, and did it with light line (not much
of it either :-), I had 4 rods out, three with 20# line,, and I chugged
out a little rod with 8# line, with a tiny piece of liver on it, to see
if there were any pan size cats out there,, of course that's the one the
21.5# channel hit. That was one heck of a battle, he spooled me almost
to the end on the first run, all I could do was hold on, and at the end
I tightened my drag a notch, with my son yelling for me not to, but I
only had three or four turns on line left on the spool, I had no choice

Here is the photo

I need to get back into it,, but the wife is broke,, she can't walk, and
I'm having to stay here to be her go'for, for another three weeks

Hey Astro, good to see you back. I miss OSB.
Rodney, my wife is broken also, but improving slowly. I'm fixing up an
old motorhome so she can go out and watch me catch little bullheads
and farm the bigger cats. If she improves my luck I'll drag her out
every time.

nice cat,
thats usually the way it goes, the rod least likely to land a big fish is
usally the one that catches the biggest, don't why it works out that way,
but it does
