Default seasons

This may be a naive question but could one travel the North American
continent and fish for bass the whole year. I'm generally unaware of
the seasonal high points in the south. Or can you fish the whole year
for bass in the south. Here the season is restricted by regs to
basically the summer months.

If I wanted to ice fish, I could fish for bass the whole year here in
the northeast. But I don't ice fish, so if I want to fish bass in
January and February, I usually have to go south somewhere. But the
other 10 months, I'm catching bass here in the northeast.

Most of the south has high quality bass fishing year round, with no
closed season. Most of my biggest bass are caught from Oct. through.
Feb. in Alabama.
