Wanted

Anyone have an old, junky, unfishable, even damaged split cane boo rod they
would sell on the cheap? Would like one for an ornament to hang on wall not to
fish with. I'll be happy to take AS IS and do repairs myself. Let me know.

If this doesn't work out, you can always (yep, just about always - somebody must
have sold 40 of them to every serviceman and tourist who even flew NEAR Japan in
the 50s and 60s) find Japanese "fishing kit" rods at flea markets, antique
malls, charity stores, etc., and often in good condition for 15-25.00USD. The
only problem is that sometimes, the seller only knows they have "a bamboo
flyrod!!!" and doesn't know that there's a big difference between such a rod and
even a Montague. This is happening less frequently, however, because after
they've been told this by enough people, they research it, and price it
accordingly. One thing, though - these (almost?) always have REALLY bright
wrappings and more chrome than Huggy Bear's Cadillac, so if that is problem, be
prepared to at least dip the chrome and magic-marker or otherwise color the
wrappings (or rewrap).
