I am sure you already know this, but there are times when you get chasing
wolf packs oriented to a particular kind of cover that you can pick off
several of them if you plan for it buy tossing in another bait, just
slightly different than the last one and running it through the same area.
I use a duolock clip on crankbaits for this reason. If I am throwing cranks
I'll also try to have two cranking rods on deck. I can swap cranks in a
second and burn right through the active fish with a bait that is only
slightly different often provoking a another fish to bite. I've had days on
grass edges where this tactic took 4-5 fish out of each end every group
including the all time biggest bass I ever hooked (which I did not land
sadly.) When I recognize the pattern I'll have my rotation of baits laying
right there loose. My son has done the same thing swimming jigs. I do not
like a clip on a jig myself. Most of my jigs have the recessed line tie for
flipping heavy cover.

As always. Its nice to read your fishing reports.

Yeah, that is one reason I keep 16 rods on my deck, rigged and ready
with different baits. Don't have to take time to tie or clip on
another bait!
