Ginger tea.

About a thumb size piece of fresh ginger chopped finely, three cups of
boiling hot water poured over and let steep, sweeten with honey if
required.
Drink one cup before you go, put rest in a flask for sipping while
fishing.

Get some ginger candy as well, suck this when feeling queezy.

Natural remedies sometimes work best.


A couple of pork chop sandwiches and a quart of 2% milk for lunch will
settle your stomach if you get queasy. Some times just thinking about
pork chops frying will help -- be sure and give that a try if you
begin to feel a vomiting spell coming on.

i've found the nite before bender and breakfast from the mcd's drive
thru are surefire ways to induce vomiting.

another trick i've heard of but never tried, bring along a large
ice-cold bottle of ginger ale. chug as much as you can at first sign of
feeling queezy. that way, whatever it was you had in there, won't taste
so bad on the way back...

If ya puke on a boat its a tell tale sign you wern't made for fish'n - Never
been seasick but have PURGED on a couple of occassions (2-3) due to doing
6-8hrs of rum and heading out after 2-3hrs sleep to the canyons in a rockn &
rolling sea rigging baits, looking down or cutting rotten chum,
after the purge another rum and coke will fix you right up ! if it dont go
back to the fatty- if you still puke - its time to hang it up and find a new
hobby

Note - if your gona PURGE, make sure you do it on the feet of someone who's
looking real green cause its a surefire way to get them to join in.

Sorry I don't agree. I've had issues with sea sickness, having parents who are
sailors. I love fishing, and occasionally have slight issues with rough weather.
I'd never give up the sport.

I fish once a week in the bay or gulf, weather permitting. Without sea sick
medication I get sick everytime. The only thing that works for me is
"TRANSDERM SCOP" . Available by prescription only. Must be applied 3 hours
prior to trip and lasts 3 days if needed. Cost about $4 a patch. Good

Take along a bag of ginger snaps. Get the
Snaps that has real ginger-not ginger artificial flavor
( cheap ones in wal-mart that has red pepper in
the ingredients work best.)
The ginger stops the sea sickness..used by the navy
for years. Also wear a rubber band on the
wrist and when you feel it ( queasiness )
snap the band on the inside of the wrist ( form of
