LAKE CAMANCHE

Trout bait fishing at Dike 3 is still the hottest ticket on the lake.
Early and late is always better for most fish, but a couple of locals,
who like to go out in the afternoon, caught six very nice trout between
4-6:30 p.m. last Tuesday. Anchoring in about 46 feet and dropping Power
Bait and Power Eggs right off the bottom has been working very well for
them. The bass bite is still smokin' hot, with top water baits catching
lots of fish early and late in Camanche Arm, Causeway Cove, and the
islands around Camper's Cove. The flooded trees and brush were giving
up nice bass.....
