tips on fishing a twistermite

I am having sporadic success at best with lures like the mister twister
twistermite. I did catch one big fish today. close to 20 inches. I
do not know how to rig or fish the lure. I put a worm weight on and
have it slide down to the hook. This lure looks like a helgrimite.
Should I use a jig head? How is the best way to work this lure. Loop
knot to the hook or regular knot to the hook. Thanks Mike D
