And the same to you Bill, and all the past Brenig Boys.
I don't half miss those great times we have had at Brenig!
All the best to you all,

Merry Christmas Chaps.

On topic for group:
I've just been giving the ladies earrings made by fly tying methods. The
most popular are angry-wasp imitations tied on a short stem of soft metal
instead of a hook and made to dangle below some ear-hooks from the craft
shop...

Cheerio,

Thanks Sandy, Derek and Reg lovely to hear from you.

Sansy - its a pity you never were one of the "Brenig" boys as Reg
(Diamonds)says. We had a couple of great weekends at Betws-y-Coed in North
Wales and I'm sure you would have enjoyed yourself. One ex-Brenig Boy is
Fred Dockwray wgho is now languising in the sunshine in Sydney and he's a
proper Aussie now.

Oh yes Sandy - I'm sure that one day you will hear why Reg has the tag
"Diamonds" to his personna.- it's a great story.

Happy New year

Bill

And a belated 'happy new year' from N. Wales.... hope you all enjoyed
the snow! My daughter bought me some neoprene gloves, which I will be
looking forward to trying out asap - good excuse for a day trip to the
Dee near Llangollen (Grayling).

Derek - I went through a phase of the fly-earrings a while back.. :
+) Long red or grizzled cock feathers, lashings of peacock and golden
pheasant tippets, yum... mega brownie points. To any salmon fly
anglers out there - broken the point from a hook? Glue a gold bead
onto it, attach an earring mount and recycle them!

There seems to be a fair bit of nostalgia for the Brenig weekends....
might anybody be interested in getting one arranged for this year?

cheers all

early...ohhhh)

I will have a go, but will need assistance in getting in and out of
the boat.

Good to hear from you Dave. Will have to think about Breing.

I'm afraid my fishing is at a standtill nowadays.

All the best.
