Default Fishing in France.

Hopefully someone here can give me some advice. I shall be holidaying in
France next year and know that there is a very large (etang) lake very close
to where I shall be staying as well as three smaller lakes nearby. This is
in the SW region of France, to the South of Bordeaux.
This is where I need help, what sort of permit do I need, where do I obtain
permit(s) from? What sort of tackle would anyone suggest taking? I have
coarse tackle and carping/piking equipment.
Any suggestions would be welcomed, thought I would ask here before trying
the French tourist board.
Thanks in advance. Mark Fry.

Mark
The local tourist board will tell you what permit you need
Think of what fish you are after then take the right stuff (pole +Carp stuff
mainly)

Remember the French fish for food even course fish get eaten

Maggots are rarely used and are B*******y expensive at about 2 E for 25
[yes25]

if you are going for carp work out if the Etang is big then take a 25kg bag
if its big
