Hofer's Have Reproduced in Colorado
Scientists in Colorado say that a breed of trout with natural
resistance to whirling disease has naturally reproduced in the wild. The strain is a cross breed including the hofer strain and others. http://www.9news.com/news/local/arti...?storyid=85651 Mixed feelings about this. Assumption that it's great news for the rainbow fisheries in Colorado. Not sure what it means to the cutthroat trout populations in Colorado. I suspect initially it means that we'll dump a lot of these around places to see how they do. Halfordian Golfer
