Wind Chill Factor is minus 17 degrees

I woke up to a low of 7 degrees but with a wind chill factor that made it
a minus of 17 degrees.

Posted from the Grand Valley of Colorado,
at the confluence of two rivers.

The rivers are for the most part free of packed ice.
The local lakes have a thin sheen of ice covering them.

Oposite problem here, 24C (75F) at the moment with an expected top of 39C
(102F), total fire ban accross Victoria (Australia) with bush fires burning
out of control in the eastern half of the state and a smoke haze over
Melbourne (the smoke has been so thick recently that visability in Melbourne
has been down to around 500 metres on occasions this summer). No point in
trying to go fishing as stream and river levels are so low.

Reminds me some what of when I used to live and work in Phoenix Arizona.
The lakes and rivers were so low that my used to run and bark at the fish.
Now I live in retirement in Colorado.
