I've been looking at 23'-25' center consoles, large enough to have a head in
the console - a "gotta have" feature for spousal unit buy-in :-) but small
enough to trailer. Whatever it turns out to be it'll have a 200-225hp Yamaha
60° v6.

On the short list if new: Scout 235 Sportfish, SeaPro 238 CC, Genmar Fishhawk
213 CC and 233 CC. ....

I'm curious: why do you exclude Maritime Skiff ?

Easy: 'Cuz they didn't send anyone to the last two Boston Boat Shows.

I took a look at their web site - and thanks for the tip!

The Model 23-P caught my eye http://www.mskiff.com/patriot.html
More versatile than what the typical 23' center console has to offer (23'
seems to be the minimum size cc that you can fit a portable head into the
console). Yet it still preserve the utility of the forward deck for casting
(and I like the raised casting platform as well). Very nice.

Down-side is that stern design is down-right business-like. No easy egress in
and out for swimming, probably have to stash a boarding ladder down in the
berth.

I'll have to call to see if they'll give me a clue about pricing to start.
Thanks again!

/daytripper (Just got back from a beautiful day on the water - the classic New
England summer day and the wee boat was a perfect gentleman from the first
start of the season. Sweet....)
