Right shoulder is on the mend after my sawbones sawed off the last 1 inch
of the clavicle. It's been 5 weeks now since the operation. A buildup of
arthritis was the problem, and, it seems I have the same problem with
arthritis on the left shoulder, so he's gonna slice and dice me on 19 Dec.
Given the amount of Vicodin I have (and will) ingest, this winter will
just be a happy blur. Hearing is deteriorating so hearing tests are
scheduled for next week, probably a hearing aid in my future. (brother Tom
and my son already have hearing aids)

For whatever comfort it may bring, we're with ya man. The bows'll be
really active and the weather will start warming up again in just a
couple of months.

Good luck with all that cut and paste and do take some small
comfort in knowing that at least you're symmetrical. ;-)

Hope you're back to your spry self soon. And next time we need someone to drop
down a well pipe to rescue Timmy, we'll call you ;-)

Btw, in case you weren't making light of it, but I seem to recall long term
Vicodin use is associated with hearing loss. Was that the Rush thing, maybe?

Certainly - somewhere...

Glad to oblige.

I have a pretty much open-ended prescription for Vicodin, for the
pinched nerve in my neck. It's tempting to take more than I need because
it makes me feel very good. Maybe three or four a week, depending on my
level of exertion and the persuasiveness of my friends who also love the
drug. For pain, I take two. For pleasure, one.

Bye for now. I have to go to the pharmacy. :-)

....I believe that was Oxycontin that Rush was ingesting. My hearing
problem started quite some time ago, aided and abetted by jet engine
noise I'm sure.

That could work, especially if it were removable.
